Earthbound Light - Nature Photography from the Pacific Northwest and beyond by Bob Johnson

Reflection Lake

Mt. Rainier and Reflection Lake. There is a reason it's called Reflection Lake, but many people come here in the middle of the day, and find no reflection. The secret? The wind, of course. Usually only early in the morning and late in the day will the wind be kind enough to die down for this kind of a view to appear. Another secret? The same is true for most other lakes as well.
